Frequently asked questions
How long does an oven clean take?
A standard single oven usually takes between one and two hours. Double ovens and range cookers take a little longer depending on the level of grease and carbon build-up.
Do you remove the oven door?
Yes, where it is safe to do so we remove the oven door so that the glass panels can be cleaned properly. This lets us remove grease and burnt residue that gets trapped between the panes.
How often should an oven be professionally cleaned?
For most households, once or twice a year is enough to keep on top of grease build-up. If you use your oven heavily or cook a lot of roasting and high-fat dishes, more frequent cleans are worthwhile.
Can a very dirty oven still be cleaned?
Yes. We regularly deal with ovens that have heavy grease, burnt-on food and carbon build-up accumulated over many years. Most ovens can be brought back to a much cleaner condition, though surfaces that are damaged beyond the soiling cannot always be fully restored.
